Visually Impaired Sisters
We are Not Made Out of Glass Dolls
The reason why we choose to participate in the Human Library of Penang is because everyone treats us like glass dolls. Afraid we will crumble under pressure. My sister and I had to prove to everyone that we are capable of doing stuff on our own, though we appreciate help.The Human Library of Penang presented an opportunity we couldn’t resist, to open the public’s eye, though we are limited in our abilities we are still very capable.

We believe the struggles that we face on a daily basis makes us a much stronger person. Our aim is to remove the feeling of pity the public has on those who are disable but rather give us the opportunity to prove ourselves. Stereotyping us doesn't help our situations neither those spoon feeding us. We want jobs, we want to be independent but prejudice the public placed against us is a difficult thing to eradicate. It might not be an easy task to begin with but with the help of the Human Library of Penang. We are sure were may get a movement started.
