The Coffee Coloured Chinese a.k.a Adoptee (Junior)
Love Knows No Colour of the Skin
"My adopted parents are of Chinese descendants; however, my features are more prominently Indian. I would like to tell the readers my journey of self-discovery and how I overcame the stereotype place upon me just because I didn’t look like her adopted parents,"
"They gave me a second chance at life, I wasn't about to take that away"
My adoption is not something that should be a secret or something that anyone should be judge. I think that is why it has never been a big deal for me. I have ALWAYS known I was adopted. It’s never been anything more than the way I came to be with my family. If you always know, then it just IS — there is never a feeling that someone kept something from you. For me, it is as normal as having a belly button; it has always just been there.
